Invitation to Write a Gardening Journal

Hello and welcome to Gardening Journal International (GJI)

If you have ever promised yourself that you would keep a diary or journal, but never quite got around to it, then this blog could be just what you need to stay motivated.

I have a wonderful opportunity for gardeners in every country to write their own journal for the Gardening Journal International blog.   It is totally free, with no strings attached.  You don't even have to be a good writer, just a keen gardener. Gardeners from around the world are invited to join the site and create a journal.  As these journals build up, we will not only get an insight into what gardening is like in other countries, but also, give knowledge and understanding of our own plants, to people around the world.

It is very easy to learn, and I will guide you if you need help.  All the posts for a journal will be kept together, so that both the reader and the author can always see their journal in one place.  The authors will be responsible for the content of their own posts, having their own comments section, where readers can interact with the author, who will in turn, be able to work together with me on the content of their country’s blog.

How do I create a gardening journal?

Post a message in the comment box below, telling us you want to become an author.  We will then give you instructions.

How do I write a gardening journal?

Just write about your gardening activities either daily, monthly or weekly.  Add some photos and video links to your text if you wish, and that’s it, simple.  This is not a formal blog, you can write in any style you wish.  What is important is to record everything you do.  This way you can look back at your failures as well as your successes, and learn from them.   You will build up your own wealth of information, for as long as you write your journal (and how long that is, is entirely up to you).  If you decide that you want to stop being an author, then someone else will take your slot, with there own journal (no pressure at all). Above all have fun.  This will be your journal so enjoy it.

Regards

Liz
