Bridgemere Looking Back

Bridgemere Nursery and Gardens are situated in Nantwich, Cheshire about a hour and a half drive from where we live. It's a while since we went there, in fact almost two years to the day. I  was looking back at my pictures and hope that you don't mind if I share them with you.

The actual nursery and store are huge and the restaurant  quite a size as well. But we veered a little off the track and followed a faded almost half hidden sign saying 'To Garden.' A fine November day and the gardens were deserted.

A shaded walkway led us up to an arched turret. Beyond, a crazy paved narrow path took us past a silver birch ....

.... a shady seat ...

.... a green lattice pergola with amazing shadows. We followed a narrow stream along the edge of the path.

A leaf-choked tiny waterfall a bit further on feeding a series of little pools.

Each one with lichen covered stones.

The calm stillness and the beautiful Autumn colours were hard to put into words. And only us and the squirrels.
